Jake left this rather negative review of Bluehost...
Having problems with Bluehost again. I really wonder how they get so many positive reviews. Bluehost has been providing me with service that is bad, but not quite bad enough to move all my websites to another host before my paid hosting has expired with them. Today my email stopped working again. Then I got an error message saying my mailbox was over quota. Strange, I have a 3 GB quota on that account and I keep my mail somewhat cleaned up. Next I login to my cpanel and notice it says I am using 12 of my 15 GBs of total storage, also strange since that total was around 4 GBs previously with little changes. Next my mail client starts prompting me for my password, the password has been saved for weeks, should not be asking for my password. Time to (shrug!) call Bluehost. Memories are flooding back in. Why in the hell did I not just move my domains off of Bluehost last year??? I get Brian after 10 minutes of hold time, not doing too bad so far. I explain the issue to Brian and he goes to check it out. He comes back and says he is deleting my Trash folder, after that finishes everything will be fine. I explain that I am wondering how so much storage is suddenly being taken up and I am worried whatever happened before will happen again.
Brian says deleting the trash will fix is and very casually says something about nothing else to worry about. I explain again that it seems strange that I am suddenly listed as using 2 times as much storage as before and this is causing me to miss business emails. Brian says he will get a level 3 tech to adjust the quotas and gives me the "Is there anything else?" I used to answer phones too, I know what that means. It means he knows there are problems with the quota system he is not supposed to say anything about to customers. Classic Bluehost. I thank Brian for the attitude and remember that I better go find a new hosting solution before the next time I have to call these people.
